A holistic approach to Alaska Native literature and culture If you played the video game Never Alone you'll find similar stories here I used to live in Alaska and this is one of the better books on folklore of the region

this book for me in the beginning was of a study than a read at the end it was a way of life for rating the books authenticity gives it 5 stars the book must be viewed for what it is real oral tradition and so 5 stars at first i took the stories at face value because i could not make anything of them but are they real? are not mother goose rhymes about real events? what greater truths lie behind these stories? these stories are characterized by practicality and reverence which is perhaps of greater advantage to life in order to survive and survive well in the scheme of things and to feel part of life also important are the ethics and values attached to the telling of stories and listening
