25 stars Promise me you'll be crazy and wild and impulsive and you won't just sit back and let everything pass youI want to be sure we don't have a single regret when we get old ZeroI promise to be crazy and not settle down until I'm at least a hundred years old And have no regrets This promise would change everything for Cami especially after the moment she went off to college She took it by heart and tried to be the crazy girl she had promised to be A promise she gave to her best friend when they were both fifteenCami meets Liam her cousin's roomate and they start flirting from the very first moment they meet But even though Liam was exactly what she needed just someone to have fun with temporary he decides to turn a new leaf and become serious with girls something that is against her plans for college and importantly against the promise she gave to her best friend Julie But is that promise important enough to waste a good opportunity of being with the hot british lad Liam? I wanted to think that if I went out with Liam it wasn’t betraying Julie I wanted to feel that I was free That I didn’t owe her every second of my life But I couldn’t I'm sorry to say that I didn't like this book as much as I wanted to I had loved these characters when I read the first book in the series and I was really excited to read their story but this book was just a big bummer for meFirst of all I didn't expect that this book would follow the same timeline as the first one It was basically the same events same discussions when others were involved in the scenes If I had read it recently it would be or less a repeat but from a different POV and I didn't like that I was dying to read Liam's POV but sadly it was only Cami's and in this book I didn't like Cami at all I felt sorry for her at times but mostly I couldn't stand her Not only she appears to be a shitty friend when it comes to Annie but her actions didn't make sense She was reckless stupid completely selfish and she was just pissing me off Plus what I couldn't understand was that she was making all those crazy actions because of her guilt but she was putting in danger her friend and that just didn't make sense at all She didn't care about her she wasn't paying attention to her I believe that if I was having guilt about something like her case I would be extra careful and overprotective of my friends not the other way around because in my opinion she was pushing her to the edge of the cliffAs for Liam he was really amazing sweet lovely flirty hot But still I expected their story to be completely different and the characters I expected them to be different and it was like reading about entirely different characters I felt like I didn't sign up for this So yes I was disappointed My mind had shaped another picture for them after the first book and here they surprised meHowever I can't help but give credit to the author who has really great writing skills and because of them I kept reading Because I dragged this book and I wanted to uit it many times Which isn't a good sign But maybe that was just me Unpopular opinion and all that jazz Hopefully my friends will like this than me if they give it a chance PS1 I don't know if I'm going to read the next book in the series although I wanted to finally read Chris getting his HEA but if it's also in the same timeline I don't think I will PS2 I have to admit that apart from Liam I really liked Mike as a character I felt for his story and I would be interested in reading about him in the future Arc kindly provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

275 angry full of REGRETS stars from me I have to admit that i have higher expactations about this book since Annie's book and the love triangle in there frustrated me as hell but i was waiting with so much agony Cami's turnCami who was always crazy and so funny and i wanted so badly to see her with that British sexy mate LiamI could swear to you that in my mind the complications would be from Liam's womanizer ways But noCami put all the blame upon her own shoulders and at the end i really didn't know if i liked her any and i'm really sorry about that First of all i didn't like the fact that this book was following the same storylinetimeline with the previous book Most of the time i thought that i was reading the same book but from different POV and i didn't like it at allThank God that Cami was so caught up in her own drama that she didn't realize what was happening around her with Annie Ryan and Chris so we didn't have to witness everything from the beginning But let me tell you some things for her own dramaPromise me you'll be crazy and wild and impulsive and you won't just sit back and let everything pass you by I want to be sure we don't have a single regret when we get old ZeroFine I promise to be crazy and not settle down until I'm at least a hundred years oldAnd have no regrets Julie said in her most serious tone And have no regretsCami before some years had promise to her best friend that she will live her life to the fullest with no regrets and since now is her first year in college and since Julie is not around any she wants to keep that promise So that's why she is acting a little bit wild and many times she is drowning with her Annie too Her only soft spot in her plan is Ryan's roommate Liam But Cami is determined to win him overBut there are complication with that goal She liked him too much for him to fit in her plans But she wants to have a night with him After all he is a manwhore It can't be so difficult You have your list and i have mineAnnie's eyebrows shot up What's on your list?Liam Liam as i told you before was sexy funny with British accent Just wow And yep he liked women and he liked Cami a lot Even though she was bubbling all the time and she was acting a little bit crazy But she is her mate's cousin so he had to keep his distance But he can't really do it and that is changing Cami's plan Why is happening that??? Liam is trying to change He want to be committed to Cami and to be with her for realBut that is not even possible to Cami's plans So what will happen next???Will Cami change her crazy plans??? And if she is not she will end up to have any regrets for letting Liam leave??? Or if she will be with him she will feel like she was betraying her friend's wishes??? As i told you before i liked Cami very much but because of the promise to her friend who wasn't around any she was doing crazy reckless dangerous and idiotic things and i didn't enjoyed her attitude at all I understand that she felt guilty about Julie and that she wanted to do something that would keep her connected with Julie but all this things were almost stupid and at the end they were mistakes that only regrets could bring And she really liked Liam but she was pulling him away for the wrong reasonsI really liked Liam and i liked that he was so stable and so real But Cami pissed me off and i need some time to get over it And i'm so sorry about that And now i really want to read Chris's book but god i hope we don't follow the same timeline I don't thing that i will survive it I need to move forward and i need to see Ryan and Chris to rebuilt their lost friendship ARC kindly provided via NetGalley for the exchange of an honest review

NO REGRETS is the fourth distinct work of Kate L Mary's I've read including the first book in the series THE LIST and I'm a huge fan I've learned I can always expect voicey and complicated characters strong and sex positive women and a fast paced read when I pick up one of Mary's books And NO REGRETS did not disappoint In THE LIST we saw Annie and Ryan get together while Annie's roommate Cami casually dated Ryan's roommate Liam Now Cami and Liam get to tell their story Cami is an outgoing college freshman with a self diagnosis of verbal diarrhea She once promised her best friend Julie that she would go crazy in college and not settle down with any man Cami and Julie also made a pact to live life with no regrets But that was before Julie was killed in a drunk driving accident Not only does Cami feel partially responsible for Julie's death but she feels obligated to live up to her promise not to fall in love However this becomes a challenge when she meets her brothercousin Ryan's roommate Liam and finds herself falling for him One of the things I enjoyed the most about this book was that we get to see what really happened between Cami and Liam and it's a lot complicated than the glimpse we got in THE LIST We also get to see a little of Annie and Ryan's relationship unfolding but through Cami's eyes I still feel bad for Chris and am looking forward to the third book in this series MOVING ON where he will finally get a happy ending I also loved that NO REGRETS depicted psychotherapy and grief in a realistic and positive light Also I love Liam And he's British DI highly recommend this series and I look forward to reading from Kate L Mary

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest reviewLet me be clear here I have read he List book #1 in the Charleston series and I was so excited when I got offered this book for a review that I have put all the other books I'm currently reading on hold to read this bad boy Kate L Mary did not disappoint on one hand I loved getting a different perspective on the Buttercup Ryan romance which I am such a big fun of and on another I was stoked to find a whole new view on Cami and her love story with Liam which in the first book seemed oh so simple and straightforward but actually was uite complicated and heart wrenching at times I'll just come out and say it there were moments my eyes got wateryI really enjoyed reading this book it can be read as a standalone but I think knowing the other side of the story makes it so much jaw droppingCan't wait for book#3Keep em coming Kate

I received an ARC via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review This was a profound heart wrenching story that takes you into the intimate world of innocence betrayal guilt first love and profound loss Cami is starting college without the one person who has been her other half for most of her life She is bound and determine to live the college experience with complete abandon for both of them Her plan soon unravels when she becomes acuainted with a sexy Brit named Liam who has her wanting to settle down before college even gets started She is at odds with what she wants and promises made between two 15 year old girls Can she have the best of both worlds? As soon as I started reading I did not care for Cami She was selfish conceited and extremely self involved Even as the story progressed I felt that my assessment of this character was spot on I felt sympathy for what she had gone through although I still found myself feeling for Liam than Cami Liam was sexy in a tousled little boy way and I immediately fell in love It wasn't until towards the end that I was cheering for Cami and Liam The author did an amazing job of writing a story that tugs at my heart strings even if you do not bond with all the characters This was the first book that I have read by Kate L Mary and I enjoyed this book so much that I plan on reading List the first one in the series They are stand alone novels but this author is so good that I do not want to miss out I highly recommend

I was gifted with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review BY Really enjoyed this book So much so that I will be purchasing the prior book in this series called College Of Charleston Specially since I of course was intrigued by Annie story Any ways in this story you meet Cami who is ready to just have fun and really enjoy all that life has to offer as a college student but also has a lot of underlying guilt and then we also have Liam who is the English hotty Did i mention that you had me at British Hotty? I have a certain weakness to accents and when i read that in the little summary I was hooked lined sinker I was extremely happy with this book Definitely a lot of character growth from both Cami Liams side and a lot of emotional things so from Cami's side I know what guilt from a friend situation can be like specially a friend who you consider your Best Friend so reading that hit really close to home It was beautiful and can't wait to read the next one in this series Of course I am looking forward to Chris's story If there is an ARC I would absolutely love it Thank for you the opportunity to read this story

For the longest time this was my least favorite book that I'd written but upon getting my rights back I picked it up and read it again I was pleasantly surprised I think the stress of writing under a deadline for the first time warped my opinion of this book because I really enjoyed it No it isn't where my passion lies I prefer writing apocalyptic fiction but I still loved the characters and the problems surrounding them and their imperfect sometimes near disastrous ways of trying to resolve them New perspective of this book combined with an amazing new cover What could be better?

» Review can also be found on Orchids AmethystsTitle No RegretsAuthor Kate L MaryRating 355 Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for letting me receive a digital copy of this book before the official release dateWhen they were kids Cami promised her best friend Julie not to let life pass her by But on Cami's 18th birthday life hit her head on and a devastating car crash left Julie in a coma Cami blames herself She should have been focused on the people who mattered most to her not the hot guy from out of townNow a college freshman Cami comes face to face with Liam the handsome British boy who had captured all of her attention on that fateful evening She tries to avoid him by dating other guys but the heat between them makes him impossible to ignore Can Cami admit to her feelings or will she back out on her promise to Julie by letting her future slip through her fingers?Where to begin? Uhm This is kinda difficult for me and I have no clue why Let me start by saying that I enjoyed the book though I couldn't stand the main character Cami Her best friend has been declared as brain dead after an accident She blames herself and her best friend's mother does as well which doesn't make the whole thing any easier on Cami I could relate to that part of Cami the weak side the part written to make us see she's just a human and not some heartless girlHeartless girl Yeah that's what I thought the second I started reading this book I could not stand Cami She seemed to be a selfish college student some party girl that I wasn't interested in finding out about Luckily Ryan and Annie appeared soon and I was rescued by these wonderful characters Seriously I loved them so much I probably would have had a much harder time with this book if they hadn't been includedRyan is Cami's cousin and Annie is her roommate at college a shy girl The relationship between Cami and her cousin is like a brother sister relationship I liked their conversations very much When Annie first appears in No Regrets you get a real good view of her and Cami as well let me tell you Her way of describing her roommate Well it's what had me believing she's selfish and not a good friend To be it seemed like she wanted Annie to turn into a second Julie and I felt so sorry for Annie for not knowing about it She didn't seem like a friend and turned Annie into her private experimentI totally understood the pain Cami had to have felt and I think the letters she wrote to her former best friend and also the thoughts she had were really well written I would have liked to read about Cami's way of trying to cope with it not just trying to keep the promise she and Julie made when they were youngerAnd then there is Liam No new adult book without a hot guy and it's a plus if he's British yummy Seriously what is it with us girls and British guys? No need to mention that I liked him it's obvious He no matter how much he tried to be a bad guy was the one who made us see a different side of Cami the caring and loving oneSo I really liked No Regrets and the scenes the conversations My review might give you a different picture but that's not true otherwise I wouldn't have rated it the way I did Next thing I'll do is search for a book about Ryan or Annie though I fear there isn't one but I know that one would be one of my very favourites so I still hope for one I didn't like Cami I'm sorry I can repeat that a million times but it won't change a thing Maybe it's because I know I wouldn't be able to be friends with a girl like her in real life either and I wonder how Annie and she got along so wellI recommend this book if you're looking for a book about loss and friendship without having to grab for a tissue too many times and focus on the good things in life still I'm sorry again I say that far too many times I guess haha if this review isn't what you expected and a little thin on information

Read the full review on Bookaholics Not So AnonymousNote This ARC was provided by Kensington Books in exchange for an honest reviewNo Regrets is the second book in the new adult NA series from author Kate L Mary entitled College of Charleston and is told along the same timeline as the first book The List Cami Summers is an eighteen year old college freshman who is up for almost anything and everything and does it all without regret or so she promised her best friend who lies motionless in a hospital bed after being in a car accident When Cami meets Liam whose last name I tried looking for in both books but couldn't find what begins as a mutually physical attraction develops over the next few weeks and months into something for bothI really enjoyed the first book in the series so my expectations for this one were rather high While I did like finally learning about Cami and whether or not she and Liam would end up together I found myself becoming increasingly irked by her behavior in the book I understand that she made this promise to her best friend and that this was her reasoning behind all the reckless stuff she did and pulled but I couldn't help but wonder how true that really was or if she was merely using her best friend as her scapegoat Her treatment of Liam and her roommate Annie Roth was disappointing and made her look so self centeredCami had some good moments especially when it came to trying to help Annie out of her shell and the closeness she had with her cousin Ryan Cole She also seemed perfectly at ease with Mike the guy she met at the bar but she seemed too into being with a guy and we all know the kind of reputation a girl can get from being that way While I wasn't too fond of Cami I did love Liam who was sweet and funny and who seemed to truly want to treat Cami differently from how he treated girls before And of course I liked revisiting Annie and Ryan's love story as well No Regrets gets four stars and I can't wait for Moving On ♥
