This is a perfect summer read A funny touching and wise story about two old men of divergent philosophies one a follower of Mahatma Gandhi the other a Stalinist Gulag survivor who have the same goal To save their beloved forest from an obnoxious ATV driver When their plan goes awry they must call upon the character forming experiences of their earlier lives to weather the storm they have createdThis is a fast paced suspensful and light hearted romp through a Southern Ontario forest but it is also a cautionary environmental tale as well as window onto than a couple of universal truths

This book made me long for summer and even inspired several winter walks in the forest This was an interesting metaphysical fairytale with an aged king on a final uest a sage an evil knight and a uixotic knight four apostles and even a heartbreaking Frog Prince Author Turpin Myers' characters were full of charm and the plot was deliciously tangled but all resolved in a satisfying manner in the end The Frog Prince made me cry Bippin made me laugh and there was much wit and healthy humour in this book I felt like I'd had a green shake after reading this full of vitamins and energy
